Dr Mark Osmond BDS (Lond) LDS RCS (Eng)
Mark has been a practicing dental surgeon for over 20 years having qualified from Kings College, London in 1989 with a Bachelors Degree in Dentistry and a post graduate degree from the Royal College of Surgeons. He practiced as a dentist for 15 years in the UK, owning and operating two successful multi-surgery clinics in Cambridge and London’s prestigious West End. The Cambridge clinic had a team of around ten clinicians and offered all aspects of dentistry with a strong patient base amongst families. The London clinic serviced a more elite clientele and was targeted at high-end, complex cosmetic dentistry. At this time Mark was also a mentor for Nobel Biocare (Implant manufacturer and specialists) and would regularly visit other dental clinics to place implants for other dentists.
My family were patients of Marks for over 10 years. He is a great dentist who takes time to talk to his patients and put you at your ease. Our loss has been TCI’s gain. You have a wonderful dentist in Mark.
Looking for a change of pace and a great place to raise his young family, Mark relocated to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands in 2005 where he has been working to the present day. Mark Osmond Dental Clinic was opened in the heart of Providenciales, to offer ‘world class dental care and aesthetic services’ to the residents of and visitors to the Turk and Caicos Islands.
Mark is a registered member of the General Dental Council of the UK, a prerequisite for all practicing dentists in UK. A mandatory requirement for maintaining registration of the GDC and an aspect that Mark views as very important to maintaining a top quality clinic is following a program of ongoing professional development and Mark regularly attends courses and seminars (including the Greater New York Dental Meeting) that ensure his knowledge of drugs, materials, practices and protocols are current. He is also registered by the Health Practitioners Board of the Turks and Caicos Islands to practice in TCI.
Mark is experienced in performing all aspects of general dental surgery. This includes fillings, root canals, extractions (surgical and non-surgical) and children’s dentistry. He has a particular interest is complex cosmetic restoration, including crowns, bridgework and veneers and is the only dentist in TCI able to place and restore dental implants and offer Invisalign Orthodontics.
Mark is happily married and has 4 generally wonderful young children on island, all of whom attend school locally. When he’s not working or juggling children, Mark enjoys cooking, watching movies, playing squash and enjoying the beautiful beaches in TCI.
